Located about 10km northeast of the dive club, El Puertito is a protected bay with a small beach and a beach bar. The dive site is suitable for beginners, but is also very popular with advanced divers.
We reach the dive site easily by car and can park close to the water. The entry is directly from the beach.
In the past, the dive site was popular because of the turtles, which were there most of the time, but sadly today they are rarely ever seen. However, there is plenty of other fish to see, such as moray eels, octopus and large schools of barracuda. With a bit of luck we can also meet rays and angel sharks, all swimming in the volcanic underwater world.
