Abades Bay

DCIM100MEDIA

Although the dive site of Abades is one of the most popular dive sites of Tenerife, it is so extensive that, once submerged, we will hardly meet any other divers.

The dive site lies sheltered by a large bay, so that there is hardly any current nor big waves.

The site is very versatile, being suitable for beginners, snorkellers and  advanced divers alike.  There are several reefs between 6 and 20 meters deep with smaller caves and steep walls.

The extensive seagrass meadows are especially popular with turtles, which we often find here in shallow water at about 3-5 meters depth. In addition there are rays, barracudas and many trumpet fish to observe.

We care about animal welfare in Tenerife
Join us!

Tenerife is our home — but sadly, countless dogs and cats are abandoned, injured, or left to fend for themselves every year. We cannot and will not ignore this.

At OceanTrek Diving School, we feel deeply connected to this island and its inhabitants — both people and animals.

That’s why we support LIFE4DOGS, a project driven by passion and compassion, working to create a rescue and rehabilitation center for dogs and cats — a place where help, healing, and hope come together.

We stand behind this initiative because it represents the same values we care about: compassion, responsibility and sustainability.

Join us — together we can make a real difference!
Whether through a donation or by sharing the project, every bit of help counts.

Together we can ensure that Tenerife is not only a paradise for people but also a safe and happy place for dogs and cats.
