Rescue Diver Course

The PADI Rescue Diver course is best described as a ‘rewarding
challenge
‘. The rescue course builds on what you have already learned
and further expands your knowledge, with an eye to problem
identification
problem avoidance, and problem solution.

Learning contents

  • Self-rescue 
  • Recognizing stress in others and how to respond correctly 
  • Emergency management and equipment needed 
  • Rescuing distressed divers 
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers 

Participation requirements

  • 12 years or older 
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification from another organization) 
  • Have completed a medic first aid course with CPR within the past two years (ask your instructor about Emergency First Response, CPR and First Aid courses) 
Note on Health Condition

Please remember that you should be in a normal, appropriate state of health to go diving. You can also confirm your good health by completing a self-assessment questionnaire. If you are unsure, you will need to obtain medical clearance from a doctor beforehand.
